• Labor Day Operating Schedule (8/27/07)

  Yuba-Sutter Transit will not operate service on Monday, September 3, 2007 in observance of Labor Day. The administrative offices of Yuba-Sutter Transit will also be closed on Monday, September 3, 2007.

  Service will operate as scheduled on Tuesday, September 4, 2007.

• Sacramento Service Expansion Approved for September Implementation (8/11/07)

  Following a special night meeting and public hearing on August 9th, the Yuba-Sutter Transit Board of Directors unanimously approved a new service plan that will expand and modify the Sacramento Commuter and Midday Express services beginning Tuesday, September 4, 2007. Two new morning and two new afternoon schedules will be added to provide immediate capacity relief while adjustments to several existing schedules will also be made to integrate the new schedules, maximize the use of available capacity and reflect current travel times. Plan highlights include:

  • A new early morning Highway 70 schedule to arrive downtown by 6:30 a.m.
  • A new later morning Highway 99 schedule to arrive downtown by 7:45 a.m.
  • A new early afternoon Highway 99 schedule with a first downtown stop of 3:45 p.m.
  • A new late afternoon Highway 70 schedule with a first downtown stop of 5:05 p.m.
  • The posted downtown stop times would remain the same on seven of the seventeen existing schedules and no commuter schedule would change by more than ten minutes
  • The most significant change to an existing schedule is the move of the 3rd Midday schedule 70 minutes earlier to allow that bus to also be used for a second afternoon schedule
  • The southbound path for the 2nd Midday schedule will move from Highway 70 to Highway 99 after departing Marysville providing service to the two Yuba City commuter bus stops and eliminating existing stops on that schedule at the North Beale Transit Center and East Nicolaus
