Draft Yuba-Sutter Transit Plan Now Available
for Public Review & Comment

The draft 2008 Yuba-Sutter Short Range Transit Plan is now available for public review and comment. Copies of the plan are in both county libraries and at the Yuba-Sutter Transit Administrative Office for review during regular business hours. It is also posted online at www.yubasuttertransit.com.

The Yuba-Sutter Short Range Transit plan, last updated in 2003, is the local blueprint for transit operations and development. The plan includes many operational, capital, management and financial recommendations believed necessary to effectively and efficiently meet current and future local transit service needs in a financially constrained environment over the next five to ten years.

The public is invited to participate in a special public workshop on the plan on Thursday, May 8, 2008. The workshop will be at 4:00 p.m. in the Conference Room #2 at the Yuba County Government Center at 915 8th Street in Marysville. Adoption of the final plan is scheduled for May 22nd at the Yuba-Sutter Transit Board of Directors meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22nd. That meeting will be held in the Yuba County Board of Supervisors Chambers which is also located in the Yuba County Government Center in Marysville.
