Yuba-Sutter Transit's Sacramento Service Unchanged on Furlough Fridays at Least for Now

Yuba-Sutter Transit's Sacramento service will operate as scheduled on furlough Fridays until further notice. Full service was also operated on the last furlough Fridays in February and March 2009. Though ridership was less than half of a normal service day on furlough Fridays, no schedule changes were made since that furlough plan lasted for less than two months.

With the reestablishment and expansion of furlough Fridays this month, Yuba-Sutter Transit may consider establishing a reduced service level to balance the number of schedules with expected lower ridership thereby reducing operating costs on those days. Such a change would not occur before September and both passenger input and Board approval would be sought prior to implementation.
