The Yuba-Sutter Transit Board of Directors has set a public hearing at the above date, place and time to receive comments on alternative stop and schedule changes to integrate the new Plumas Lake Park & Ride Lot with Yuba-Sutter Transit's existing Sacramento services. The draft alternative service plans are available for review at www.yubasuttertransit.com or call (530) 634-6880 to make arrangements for an alternate method of inspection.
The Plumas Lake Park & Ride Lot is under construction on Feather River Boulevard east of Highway 70 in Plumas Lake. One option is to add the new stop and eliminate the existing stop in East Nicolaus for all weekday Highway 70 and Midday Express schedules that now serve that location. Under this alternative, all existing schedules would begin and end at the same time they do now. Other alternatives being considered would retain the East Nicolaus stop on some or all of the existing schedules. These alternatives would add approximately five minutes to the affected schedules to reflect the increased time and distance. Any changes resulting from this process are expected to become effective no earlier than Thursday, October 1, 2009.
Interested persons may submit testimony regarding the proposed changes either verbally or in writing, before or at the public hearing. Written testimony can be provided by mail to Yuba-Sutter Transit at 2100 B Street, Marysville, CA 95901; by telephone at (530) 634-6880; by FAX at (530) 634-6888; or, by e-mail to Transit Manager at keith_martin@sbcglobal.net. All written communication must be received either at or prior to the hearing to be considered. Verbal testimony can be provided in person at the hearing or by telephone prior to the hearing. Contact Keith Martin at (530) 634-6880 for more information.
