Corridor Enhancement Plan Survey & Open House

Yuba-Sutter Transit has been awarded a California Department of Transportation Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant to develop a Corridor Enhancement Plan for Route 1—the eight-mile-long key transit route that links all other routes in Yuba and Sutter counties. The Corridor Enhancement Plan will provide in-depth analysis and the necessary pre-engineering to support capital improvements to the five key transit centers and other facilities along Route 1. To read the Existing Conditions memo, which provides a detailed description of the existing Route 1 facilities or the Design Parameters memo which provides the minimum standards for bus stop improvements, click on links below.

Community input is a critical component of the Corridor Enhancement Plan. In an effort to engage the community early in the planning process, Yuba-Sutter Transit is holding a community open house and a conducting a public online survey.

Open House

Please join us at the open house on Wednesday, September 20th at the Yuba County Board of Supervisors Chambers (Yuba County Government Center, 915 8th Street Marysville, CA 95901). Drop-by anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to learn more about the Corridor Enhancement Plan and to provide input on physical improvements to Route 1 key transit centers and bus stops.

In addition, those who are interested in providing input on the key transit centers can join us at 10:30 a.m. for a short walk to the Yuba County Government Center bus stop. From there, attendees can board a bus to visit the North Beale Transit Center, Alturas & Shasta Terminal and the Walton Terminal. At each site, participants will be given the opportunity to analyze existing amenities and recommend future improvements. The tour will conclude at 12:30 p.m. at the Government Center.
