Transit Operations Contract Procurement Support

The Yuba-Sutter Transit Authority (Authority) is seeking quotes from qualified consultant firms to provide professional support for the procurement of its next transit operations and maintenance contractor (Operations Contractor). The consultant work necessary to support the procurement of an Operations Contractor shall commence immediately upon hire, employing industry best procurement and contracting practices, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The Authority anticipates releasing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for its next Operations Contractor in the Fall of 2026, with proposals due in November 2026. Evaluation of proposals and negotiations will take place through early 2027 to ensure the next contract can be awarded by May 2027. This will allow ample time for the successful proposer to make any necessary preparations for a transition prior to the contract start date of October 1, 2027.
