New Dial-A-Ride/ADA Paratransit Dispatch and Scheduling System

Yuba-Sutter Transit is launching new dispatching software tools designed to improve efficiency, ride availability, and on-time performance, leading to a better overall customer experience.

With full rollout of the software tools, Dial-A-Ride/ADA Paratransit riders can receive automated phone calls, SMS text messages, or both, including reminders the night before and 10 minutes before scheduled trips, along with options to confirm or cancel a trip.

When you call to book your next trip, our dispatchers may request additional details such as a valid email or other information. Although optional, this additional information helps set up your rider profile, making your future trip booking quicker and easier.

There are no changes to how you schedule your trips. Please continue to call Yuba-Sutter Transit at 530-742-2877 to schedule your trips up to 14 days in advance.

Youth, Senior & Disabled Monthly Pass Discount Program Extended

Get your discount monthly pass for just $10 (regularly priced at $20) through March 2027—thanks to the Feather River Air Quality Management District grant extension. Seniors (65+), youth (ages 5 through 18), and riders with qualifying disabilities ride unlimited and for less on all MOD, local and rural routes each month.

Dial-A-Ride "No Shows" Cost Everyone

Dozens of times a month, a Dial-A-Ride bus arrives at an address to pick someone up and, for whatever reason, they are not there.

Drivers and passengers all know that the next message from dispatch will be to “mark them a no-show and proceed!” The bus then pulls away with nothing to show for the effort except lost time and productivity.

Every “No Show” wastes time and resources resulting in longer trips and less actual service being provided. Please be courteous and call to cancel unwanted reservations even if the bus is just moments away from arrival. If more did so it would free up service for others – including you. Please don’t be a “No Show”!

Upcoming Holiday Service and Office Schedule 

 Please note the following schedule changes for the month of January:

• Monday, January 19th – Yuba-Sutter Transit will not be in operation and the Administrative Office will be closed on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
