BUS SERVICE TO BE DETOURED FOR HOLIDAY EVENTS ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9TH

December 4, 2023, Marysville, CA – Yuba-Sutter Transit's services will be detoured from Plumas Street on Saturday, December 9th for the annual Christmas Stroll held in downtown Yuba City. Plumas Street from Colusa Avenue to Bridge Street will be closed to traffic beginning at 10:00 a.m. on this date to set up for this free community event that will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Due to the early closure, Yuba-Sutter Transit's local fixed route service will be re-routed from Plumas Street all day on December 9th. Route 1 buses will operate on Olive Street between Colusa Avenue and Forbes Avenue and Route 2 will operate on Shasta Street between Colusa Avenue and Bridge Street. The Plumas Street bus stops at Church Street and Bridge Street will not be served during this time nor will the Route 1 bus stops at Forbes Avenue and Almond Street. 

Yuba-Sutter Transit's services will also be detoured from Olivehurst Avenue on Saturday, December 9th for the 54th edition of the Olivehurst Christmas Parade. The parade, which is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m., will travel on Olivehurst Avenue from 9th Avenue to 5th Avenue. 

Street closures on the parade route are schueduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. During the street closure, Yuba-Sutter Transit's Route 3 service will be detoured in both directions from Olivehurst Avenue to Western Avenue between 10th and 3rd Avenues through the end of the scheduled service day.
