FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ANNUAL UNMET TRANSIT NEEDS HEARING

October 7, 2021, Marysville, CA – The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), the regional transportation planning agency for Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba Counties, holds a series of public hearings each year to determine if there are unmet transit needs that are reasonable to meet in the region.  Input from these hearings is used to make decisions regarding the allocation of transportation funding in each local jurisdiction.

This year’s hearing for the Yuba-Sutter area will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9th.  The hearing will be held entirely on-line via Zoom. Information on how to access the hearing, including translation and accessibility options, is available at www.sacog.org/unmet or by calling (916) 340-6226.

Comments can be provided either during the hearing, by email at transitneeds@sacog.org, by text/phone at (916) 426-3799, or through the on-line comment form at www.sacog.org/unmet.  Comments must be received by November 22, 2021.

For more information, call Yuba-Sutter Transit at (530) 634-6880.
