April 26, Marysville, CA – Yuba-Sutter Transit is sharing an opportunity for Yuba and Sutter area residents to share their experiences with walking, biking, scooting or wheeling in their communities and identify missing gaps. We are helping one of our partner agencies, the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, or SACOG, connect with our community about where they want to go by any sort of human-powered method. This opportunity is by way of an interactive, map-based survey tool where participants drop pins on a map and describe their preferred mode of motion.

SACOG is currently working on the Sacramento Region Parks & Trails Strategic Development Plan to envision a system of connected trails and parks across El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties. This plan will recognize projects in the near future to jumpstart trail network development and focus on creating access to low-income communities that currently lack such access to green spaces and safe ways to move around without a car. The survey results will help SACOG and our local cities and counties have a unified vision for a regional trails system and prioritize future investments. Once the survey is complete, respondents can enter a raffle to win one of ten $50 gift cards to Safeway!

We hope you will join in this important step towards improving trail access, increasing opportunities to be active and making our community a healthier place to live! Find out more by following the links below or connecting with Rosie at SACOG via email (rramos@sacog.org) or phone (916-340-6208).
