Annual Unmet Needs Hearing

The Transportation Development Act (TDA) is a state law, which provides funding for public transportation from a portion of sales tax collected from each county. The Sacramento Area Council of Governments has TDA administration responsibilities for Sutter, Yuba, Sacramento, and Yolo Counties. The annual Unmet Transit Needs Finding process and definitions is required by TDA law to identify transit service needs.

The process includes a series of public hearings to identify transit service needs that may exist throughout the four county region.  The local hearing for the Yuba-Sutter area will be held on October 11, 2017, at 2:00 pm at the Yuba County Government Center.  At this hearing, each attendee will be given the opportunity to provide comments on how Yuba-Sutter Transit can better serve transportation needs of local residents.   All comments received will be reviewed by a Social Service Transpiration Advisory Council (SSTAC) to determine if the requested services are reasonable to meet.

Please attend the Unmet Needs Hearing on October 11 at 2:00 pm at the Yuba County Government Center to provide comments or submit comments here.  To view the English and Spanish hearing notice, click on link below.
