WHAT IS MOD?
MOD (Mobility On-Demand) by Yuba-Sutter Transit is a corner-to-corner zonal transit service with real-time on-demand technology to connect you to local fixed routes in areas without regular service, making your journey smoother and more convenient.

HOW DOES MOD WORK?
When you book with MOD, you’ll get a pick-up time window and directions to a nearby pick-up point through the app, or by text or a phone call. MOD is all about shorter wait time and faster connections to and from nearby transit hubs and destinations. Additionally, MOD vehicles are safe and accessible, featuring wheelchair access, designated priority seating with securement areas, and a interior bike rack, making MOD easy to use.

SERVICE ZONES AND CONNECTIVITY
Current MOD zones: Linda and Olivehurst
MOD riders can now book trips from within the Linda and Olivehurst service zones to several joint locations in and around the North Beale Transit Center. Both the Olivehurst and Linda MOD Zones now offer direct service to the following key destinations in Linda:
- Walmart
- N. Beale Transit Centers
- Costco
- Foodmax
- Peach Tree Clinic
MOD availability may depend on the proximity of the pick-up and drop-off locations to existing fixed routes. If a location is too close to a fixed route, MOD service may not be available.
NEW LOCAL FIXED‑ROUTE FEATURE ON THE MOD RIDE APP
Although MOD service is currently available only in Linda and Olivehurst, the MOD Ride app now provides local fixed‑route travel information for trips both within and beyond the MOD service zones. Riders can see when it’s possible to combine MOD service with local fixed‑route service and receive real‑time transfer details when both options are available. If MOD service is not available, the MOD Ride app will display available local fixed‑route alternatives to help riders choose the best travel option for them.

*Connect Card only. The selling price of the Basic Monthly Passes and the Discount Monthly Passes (Senior/Disabled/ Youth) will continue to be reduced from the actual price as grant funding is available.

Select where you want to go within the service zone.

Tell us if you’re traveling with companions (up to 4) and if there will be any special mobility needs. Select the "+" icon to add additional passengers.
If any companions use a wheelchair, are youth, senior or disabled, please include it in this section.
Ex: "I am traveling with a senior who uses a wheelchair"

Ex:"I am traveling with a youth who is disabled"

IMPORTANT: To be eligible for discount fare on the Connect Card, seniors (65+), disabled, and youth (5-18) must be issued a discount Connect Card photo ID, only available at the Yuba-Sutter Transit Office at 2100 B St in Marysville, Click here for more information about discount Connect Card IDs and eligibility requirements.
The app will offer you the best time and closest pickup location available. Confirm your ride and receive updates on your phone when your vehicle is on the way.
The nearest local fixed routes that MOD can connect you to will be listed under the 'Other Public Transit' tab.

Board the MOD vehicle when it arrives and pay your fare when you board.

Payment options for MOD are just as easy as using any of our other services! You can pay with cash, paper tickets or with the Connect Card Electronic Fare Card. Payment is NOT available through the app. Please be ready to pay when boarding the MOD vehicle.
