MOD is a shared, on-demand transit service that uses technology to conveniently connect you to local fixed routes within each service zone.
What is MOD?
MOD (Mobility On-Demand) by Yuba-Sutter Transit is a corner-to-corner zonal transit service ensuring easy access to nearby transit hubs. MOD uses real-time on-demand technology to efficiently connect you to local fixed routes in areas without regular service, making your journey smoother and more convenient.
How does it work?
When you book with MOD, you’ll get a pick-up time window and directions to a nearby pick-up point through the app, or by text or a phone call. MOD is all about shorter wait time and faster connections to and from nearby transit hubs and destinations. Additionally, MOD vehicles are safe and accessible, featuring wheelchair access, designated priority seating with securement areas, and an interior bike rack, making MOD easy to use.
Hours of Service
MOD operates weekdays from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, ensuring you’re covered during regular local fixed route service hours. No service is provided on Sundays or designated holidays.
Learn How To MOD
Get the App-Download the MOD Ride app (available in the App Store and Google Play) and create an account.
Book Your Ride-Select where you want to go within the service zone. Tell us if you’re traveling with companions (up to 4) and if you have special mobility needs.
Receive Your Pick-Up Time & Location-The app will offer you the best time and closest pickup location available. Confirm your ride and receive updates on your phone when your vehicle is on the way.
Enjoy Your Ride-Board the MOD vehicle when it arrives and pay your fare when you board.

What is a Connect Card?
The Connect Card is the easy way to pay transit fares. It is a plastic, reloadable smart card with an embedded computer chip that can store cash value and/or monthly passes for any basic or discounted fares. It is also accepted by Sacramento Regional Transit and other transit providers in the Sacramento area.
Visit ConnectTransitCard.com to get started. Once you initially order and load your full fare† Connect Card online, you’ll receive it in the mail in 3-5 days. Just tap it on the Connect Card reader when you board any Yuba-Sutter Transit bus and reload as needed.
† Discount fare passengers must visit the Yuba-Sutter Transit office for their first Connect Card which will also become their new photo I.D. card for discount fare eligibility purposes.
