Next Generation Transit Plan

Adopted in May 2023, the NextGen Transit Plan identifies new innovative solutions to improve the travel needs and connections in our community.  

Expected to shape the Yuba-Sutter Transit system for the next 4 years through pandemic recovery, the plan includes the following innovations:

• Construction of a new transit operating, maintenance, and administration facility
• Transition to the large-scale operation of zero-emission buses
• Modifications to existing routes, new service areas, and alternative service models

Each recommendation is individually evaluated and approved as appropriate prior to implementation.
